This site is very informative as different ways to try to treat the child. The ABA I think we all do at some level with our kids. PECS is also a wonderful way of getting autistic children to communicate. We started using that before my son finally started speaking. It helped with the frustration on both sides as we didn't understand what he wanted and he couldn't get it across to us and would literally have a meltdown.
